Announcement Of The Lange Brand’s Iconic Models

LANGE1 is the brand’s first watch in the new era, and has been the trademark of Lange for 25 years. Therefore, the watch factory specially produced 250 ’25thAnniversary’ 18K white gold limited edition watches to celebrate the anniversary of this award-winning timepiece. Features include a dark blue printed silver-white dial with embossed design, blue date numerals, an unveiled engraved Lange headquarters pattern, and hand-engraved balance wheel splints with blue lines.

October 24, 1994 was the most important day in Lange’s modern history. On the same day, the company’s founder Walter Lange and his partner Günter Blümlein exhibited the first four watches of the new era at the Dresden Palace. LANGE1 is one of them. The eccentric design of the dial has caused heated discussions, and technologies such as a large calendar display and dual barrels have also been favored.

A distinctive design is often seen as a slouch at first. Therefore, the work must overcome people’s inherent ideas to show its fascinating attitude, and LANGE1 is an example. The large calendar display and eccentrically designed dial layout complement each other with a beautifully decorated mechanical movement, which was considered by many in the mid-1990s to be an extraordinary move. But this unusual design attracted much attention from the outside world, and Lange became famous overnight.

Lange’s return to the international stage of precision watchmaking in 1994 coincides with the anniversary of this historical moment. The brand presents a series of 18K white gold models in 2019, paying tribute to the important milestones of the LANGE1 watch series. Iconic elements are incorporated into each piece, such as a solid silver-white dial with dark blue numerals and hour markers, blue date numerals, and a blue alligator leather strap with coordinated tones and grey stitching.

LANGE1 marks the beginning of the ’25thAnniversary’ series, which has hardly changed since 1994. Among them, the movement fully reflects the technical development of the watch. The L121.1 manual-winding movement released in 2015 is equipped with a precision instant jump large date display and free-running Lange balance spring, plus a large cam fixed balance wheel, ensuring accurate and reliable speed. This carefully modified movement is the same as LANGE1’s first L901.0 movement, which also uses a dual barrel, with a power reserve of up to 72 hours, combined with the classic Lange quality mark. Among them, it is worth mentioning the 3/4 plywood made of untreated German silver, the gold sleeve with eight screws and the hand-carved balance plywood. The balance splint is specially engraved with the large calendar ’25’, which has become a major symbol of the 25th anniversary. For the first time, the sculptural pattern incorporates blue line design, creating a particularly sharp contrast effect.

Limited to 250 LANGE1 ’25thAnniversary’ watches, another feature is that it is carved and carved with solid 18K white gold. The sculpture depicts the Lange headquarters in 1873, and combines the names of Walter Lange and Günter Brulen, and the embossed ’25YEARSLANGE1′.
