In 2016, Louis Vuitton released the first Escale Spin Time Blue watch, combining two innovations of the brand: Spin Time movement and Escale case. The Spin Time movement uses 12 rotating cubes to display the time, each cube has four sides, two sides display the day of the day, and the other two sides draw a flag pattern.
The 2016 Escale Spin Time watch has a gray dial and colorful rotating cubes, and is available in titanium and rose gold. The new Escale Spin Time Blue watch has a completely different look. It is dominated by gray and blue, highlighting modern elegance. Each hour-hour square on the gray dial presents the same decorative pattern, and the original colorful colors are replaced by three different-tone blues. Each square has four sides, with the hour of the day displayed on both sides, and a banner pattern drawn on the other two sides. The two sides with hour markers are black and white.
The rotating cube showing the hours is hand-crafted and printed by a dial maker from the La Fabrique du Temps workshop. The blue metal disc in the center of the dial is decorated with a black and gray earth pattern, printed with the brand name and ‘Spin Time’ The words, it adds depth to the dial, while highlighting the adventurous spirit of the watch. Under the distinctive earth model, there are minute hands coated with white fluorescent material. The minute hands point to the minute orbits marked with thin lines and 12 small white squares adjacent to the rotating square.
This watch combines two different precious materials. The case is made of titanium and is satin-brushed. It is 41 mm in diameter and features an 18K white gold bezel, lugs and crown. Through the sapphire crystal case back, you can admire the precise operation of Calibre LV77 movement. This automatic movement is developed and assembled by La Fabrique du Temps workshop, which provides a 42-hour power reserve. This watch comes with a blue alligator leather strap lined with yellow rubber and an 18K white gold pin buckle.
