New Rose Gold Masterpiece Shines At Venice International Film Festival

At the Venice International Film Festival, Jaeger-LeCoultre presents two new 101 series rose gold watches. The series tells women the exciting stories, and the two brilliant works are even more enthralling. In the evolution of history, excellence in watchmaking and fine jewelry continue to create precious timepieces. In 1929, the Ruya Grand Workshop launched the world’s smallest mechanical movement. This movement is completely manufactured and assembled by the watch factory, which kicks off this unique story. Today, two new pieces perfectly show the essence of fine watchmaking and fine jewellery. The bright diamonds reflect the long-established traditional craftsmanship and contain the ultimate mystery. No matter day or night, 101Reine and 101Feuille rose gold watches are full of feminine light, praising the infinite charm of women.

Two jewellery watches with micro-mechanical movements

Since 1929, the Jaeger-LeCoultre 101 mechanical movement has become a model in the field of miniature watchmaking. At that time, wristwatches gradually replaced pocket watches and became popular with women. They want a jewellery watch that combines precision mechanical functions with an elegant appearance to embellish the wrist. The 101 mechanical movement is inspired by the famous Duoplan movement, which is characterized by its two horizontally overlapping planes. For almost a century, this series has demonstrated superb watchmaking. The volume of the movement is 0.2 cubic centimeters, the size is 14 mm x 4.8 mm, and the thickness is 3.4 mm. Each part is specially customized and adjusted to make each movement unique. This micromechanical masterpiece weighs only 1 gram and consists of 98 carefully assembled parts by watchmakers. Only a few top watchmakers in the industry have mastered this highly precise micro-assembly technology. It is worth mentioning that the balance wheel of the movement vibrates at a frequency of 21,600 times per hour, which brings greater challenges to accurate assembly.
